Your curator: Bill Heinrich
ShelfShift is curated by Bill Heinrich, author of The Aligned Life Series, Seven Levels of Truth and Clarity Has No Story. Bill is an author, speaker and coach in Southern California. His talk, The Power of Energetic Alignment: How to Shatter Burnout, Fast, starts from one idea: Burnout isn't a workload problem. It's an alignment problem.
Bill also runs two sister sites: EQPulse, a free emotional intelligence self-check, and GatherAligned, a calendar of personal growth workshops and retreats.

How books are chosen and checked
- We list books on emotional intelligence, relationships, anxiety and the nervous system, confidence and self-worth, mindfulness, purpose, habits and the psychology of everyday life.
- Every release date is checked against the publisher’s own book page (or the author’s official site) and each book page links to that source. Dates were last checked on October 21, 2026.
- Publishers sometimes move dates, especially for books a few months out. We re-check every week.
- The short descriptions are our own summaries, not publisher copy or reviews.
How ShelfShift is supported
Listings are free. Book links may become affiliate links (affiliate links are coming soon), and authors and publishers can pay for a clearly labeled featured release. Neither changes which books we list or how we describe them.
